The Volunteer Ethical Code

1. Values and Ethics
All actions undertaken by volunteers must reflect the highest ethical standards and align with the values of the Malaysia International Film Awards: integrity, respect, and responsible citizenship.
Volunteers are expected to:

Uphold values of honesty, integrity, and respect in every aspect of their service.

Represent the Malaysia International Film Awards and, by extension, the UAE with pride and professionalism.

Act with fairness and impartiality, ensuring that all individuals — participants, guests, and colleagues — are treated with dignity and respect.

Embrace the spirit of volunteerism as a meaningful contribution to culture and the creative community.
2. Confidentiality
Volunteers may have access to sensitive or privileged information related to the event, its participants, or its operations. They must:

Refrain from sharing or disclosing any confidential information during and after their service.

Safeguard all documents, communications, and materials entrusted to them.

Respect the privacy of guests, participants, and fellow team members at all times.
3. Reliability and Responsibility
The reliability of volunteers reflects the professionalism of the MIFA as a whole. Volunteers are expected to:

Fulfill their assigned duties diligently and on time.

Seek guidance from their designated coordinator or supervisor whenever they encounter challenges.

Understand that, as volunteers, they represent the values and reputation of the Malaysia International Film Awards.
4. Effective Communication
Clear and respectful communication is essential to the success of any collective endeavor. Volunteers should:

7. Professionalism
The quality of volunteer work reflects the standards of the MIFA. Volunteers are expected to:

Conduct themselves in ways that enhance the reputation of the Malaysia International Film Awards.
8. Respect for Authority
Respect for the organizational structure and procedures of the MIFA is essential. Volunteers must:

Follow the instructions and guidance provided by their designated coordinators and supervisors.

Abide by all regulations, policies, and safety protocols of the Malaysia International Film Awards.

Protect the property, resources, and materials entrusted to them.

Refrain from making statements or commitments on behalf of the MIFA without proper authorization.
9. Conflict of Interest

They must avoid accepting gifts, services, or favors that could compromise their independence or objectivity, except when permitted under standard cultural hospitality practices.
